Nassal completed comprehensive themed fabrication and installation for the Ocean Voyager Gallery at Georgia Aquarium, one of the facility’s most iconic and recognizable spaces. Working within an active aquarium environment, the team produced detailed shop fabrication drawings and executed the full fabrication and installation of all themed elements and signage throughout the gallery.

The scope included more than 21,000 square feet of scenic rockwork integrated throughout the Ocean Voyager Gallery, which is home to the world’s largest indoor fish tank at 6.2 million gallons and its most famous resident, the whale shark. Nassal’s work was carefully coordinated to integrate large‑scale theming with complex operational systems while maintaining durability and long‑term performance.

At more than 8 million gallons and 550,000 square feet, Georgia Aquarium is the largest aquarium in the world and home to more than 100,000 animals. Through precise planning, technical coordination and expert craftsmanship, Nassal delivered immersive theming that enhances storytelling and supports the operational needs of one of the most celebrated aquarium destinations, earning industry recognition including the 2006 TEA Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement.
