For the Orlando Wetlands project, Nassal delivered custom millwork and exhibit fabrication designed to seamlessly connect the built environment with the surrounding natural landscape. Located within Orlando Wetlands Park, the visitor center serves as an educational gateway to the park—informing guests about its role in naturally filtering and cleaning water for the region while providing a protected habitat for wildlife.
Nassal completed all millwork and exhibit components throughout the facility, thoughtfully incorporating materials sourced directly from the site. Wood harvested onsite was repurposed and integrated into the exhibits, reinforcing the park’s mission of sustainability while adding authenticity and a strong sense of place.
In addition to fabrication, Nassal supported the project with soundproofing solutions to enhance both the visitor experience and the center’s educational programming. The scope also included installation of all fixtures and feature elements, from detailed exhibit components to large-scale focal pieces. Highlights include a custom cypress tree and suspended bird elements, introducing movement, texture, and a sense of immersion that reflects the environment just outside.
Through a combination of sustainable material use, craftsmanship, and integrated installation, Nassal helped create an engaging, nature-inspired space that brings awareness to the important work of the Orlando Wetlands while inviting guests to connect more deeply with the landscape.
