Meet Madison. Madison turned five years old in March. She loves everything girly Ð princesses, glitter, crafts, and the color pink. She has a family whom adores her, a little brother who looks up to her, and is full of life and happiness. Madison also has leukemia and is likely the bravest person I’ve ever had the opportunity to meet.

Madison made a wish to Make A Wish Foundation of Central & Northern Florida for her own, personal princess castle in her backyard. Once The Nassal Company learned of Madison’s wish in the Spring, we jumped on board to grant this very special wish to a very special girl.

Madison made it easy. She knew exactly what she wanted Ð a pink castle, with a slide and swing, princess pictures around the castle and flowers. We could do that.

Once we had Madison’s wish list, we got to work. We had to figure what would be the best material to make the castle out of, all while keeping true to Madison’s vision. We’ve had so much support from our extremely valued partners in the industry and their very generous donations from start to finish. From the PVC panels, to the lumber and steel, the paint (pink, purple, yellow, and lime green, of course!), to the RubberDek on the top level, and the sun awning to protect her from the hot days.

The donations didn’t stop there! From hotels in Gainesville offering rooms for our install crew, and equipment rentals to not only transport this very big, very pink castle from Orlando to Levy County, and then move it around to the perfect spot under the shade of a tree on her lawn Ð everyone pitching in to make this wish come true for Madison allowed Nassal to make this the biggest, coolest castle we could. It is for a princess after all!

We’ve even had a production team that has agreed to video document the entire process so the family could have a keepsake in the form of the ‘Making of Madison’s Castle Ð Nassal edition’.

So here is a look at Madison’s castle. At over 16 feet high at the peak, a yellow slide and swingset, and over 800 square feet of space for her to run, explore, play, and just be 5 years Ð the greatest pleasure in this all is seeing that little girl’s reaction when the tarp came down and she saw her wish come true Ð right in her own backyard.

So, THANK YOU Madison. Thank you for letting all of us at The Nassal Company, our partners, and our families, get to experience the joy and happiness you bring to this world. Enjoy your castle, and to the many, many years of fun days and memories that are to be created there.
